How it works

Clarity II laser hair removal, using both 755nm and 1064nm wavelengths, is a precise process that disables hair growth at the follicle using targeted light energy. When a laser pulse is delivered to the skin, it seeks out melanin, the pigment concentrated in the hair shaft and bulb. As the light is absorbed by the melanin, it is converted into heat, damaging the follicle’s ability to produce new hair. Timing is essential: Treatments are most effective during the anagen phase, when hair is actively growing and fully connected to its blood supply. Since not all hairs are in this phase at the same time, multiple sessions are required for optimal results. The 755nm wavelength is ideal for lighter skin types (Fitzpatrick I–III) and finer hairs, offering strong melanin absorption and shallow penetration for precise, effective treatment. In contrast, the 1064nm wavelength penetrates deeper and is safer for darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI), as it bypasses epidermal melanin, reducing risk while effectively treating coarse, deep-rooted hairs.

Before & afters

Testimonials

“Traditionally, laser hair removal hasn’t been an enjoyable process—for either the patient or the provider. But Clarity II has changed that. Patients no longer dread their sessions, and providers can treat larger areas easily and safely, without the pain typically associated with older devices. It’s a truly unique laser that makes hair removal an easier, more premium experience.”

James Y Wang1, MD, Metropolis Dermatology

“The Clarity II laser has been a big step forward for both our staff and patients, as its design has dramatically reduced total treatment time. Its large spot sizes, ample energy, and IntelliTrak technology make treatments fast, thorough, consistent—and even enjoyable. The Clarity II laser is truly a complete platform.”

Judy Romero1, RN, Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California

“It was taking us 2 hours to perform full body LHR with our old device, but now with Clarity II, it’s so fast. We can do arms in literally 45 seconds. Clarity II is so fast and comfortable compared to everything else, that I’m now looking forward to the next treatment, it’s very exciting.”
