    Chief Executive Officer

    Todd Tillemans joined Cynosure in January 2020 as the company’s Chief Executive Officer to lead the company in its mission to innovate, develop and create best-in-class energy-based aesthetic and medical treatment systems. Prior to joining Cynosure, Todd served as the President of The Hershey Company’s flagship U.S. business generating over $6.5 billion in annual sales. Todd also held various leadership positions across Unilever’s skin and personal care portfolio where he helped build powerful global brands including Dove, Axe, Vaseline, Ponds and Degree.

    Todd proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Minnesota, and later went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In his free time, Todd enjoys adventure travel with his family, photography, and running.

  • Pamela Baxter, Chief Information Officer

    Chief Information Officer

    Pam Baxter joined Cynosure in September 2020 as Chief Information Officer.  In this role she leads the company’s global information services strategy delivering transformational impact on consumers, customers and the business.

    Prior to joining Cynosure Pam’s most recent role was leading the Retail and Consumer Products Global Practice in Amazon Web Services Professional Services organization, where she was responsible for leading transformation and innovation for Amazon Web Services’ Retail and Consumer Products Global customers. Prior to AWS, Pam was the Chief Information Officer at Talbots, where she was responsible for leading a comprehensive Omni-Channel Digital Strategy in support of Talbots’ growth and innovation initiatives.

    Pam was also the Chief Information Officer at CompuCom Systems (Managed Services, Technology, and Consulting) where she was responsible for driving the strategy and operations for all services delivered.

    Other IT roles include as Vice President, Global Service Delivery Systems for Getronics, plus Vice President, Software Engineering at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. Pam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance, from the University of Massachusetts. Pam lives in Wellesley, MA with her husband and three daughters.

  • Sean Flanagan, Vice President, Legal

    Sean Flanagan

    Vice President, Legal

    Sean Flanagan joined Cynosure in October of 2018 and currently leads the company’s global legal organization. Prior to joining Cynosure, Sean acted as Corporate Counsel at NxStage Medical, Inc., a publicly traded company engaged in developing innovative technologies aimed at improving treatment options for dialysis patients. At NxStage, Sean served a lead legal representative for NxStage’s renal care division and assisted with the $2 billion sale of NxStage to Fresenius Medical Care. Sean began his career as a Corporate Associate at Devine, Millimet & Branch, Professional Association in Manchester, NH specializing in corporate transactional work.

    Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and his Juris Doctor (cum laude) from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, where he was a member of the Suffolk University Law Review. Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, especially when they are vacationing in Maine.

    Executive Vice President, Strategy and M&A

    Erik served as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy for Laborie Medical Technologies. Prior to that, he led M&A and strategic investing activities at Smith & Nephew across the company’s orthopedic, sports medicine, and OB/GYN surgical divisions. In both of these roles, Erik developed an extensive track record of performance in sourcing and closing value enhancing deals. He began his career as an R&D engineer at Guidant Corporation and has also held various product development and program management roles.

    Erik earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from The Ohio State University and an MBA degree from Babson College.

    Erik lives in Southborough, MA, with his wife and four children. Outside of work, Erik enjoys volunteering for his son’s Boy Scout troop, bicycling, and spending time at the beach.

    Lowinn most recently served as Global Head of the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute.  Lowinn has built a diverse portfolio of global leadership experiences across multiple business sectors and business functions throughout his career, including General Management, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and R&D.  At Johnson & Johnson, Lowinn held global commercial leadership roles in Consumer and Medical Device sectors. In addition, he served as Asia Pacific Managing Director of Vision Care ASEAN, Vice President of Marketing APAC, and Founder of the J&J APAC Vision Care Business Model Innovation Center.

    Lowinn holds an MBA in International Business from St. Louis University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and is married to Mindy, and together they have three children and three grandchildren.

    Jorge Pinedo joined Cynosure in December 2019 as the Executive Vice President, International. Jorge comes from Johnson & Johnson where he most recently led the turnaround and growth acceleration of Vision Care, while consolidating market leadership in Asia-Pacific. While at J&J, Jorge also created a first-of-its-kind Myopia Global Center of Excellence and Innovation in partnership with the Singapore government.  He also led Sight for Kids helping more than 25 million underprivileged children suffering from Myopia.

    Prior to joining J&J, Jorge served as a founding member of Mead Johnson Nutrition’s separation from Bristol-Myers Squibb, creating one of the most successful IPO’s in 2009.  He has also been recognized for his efforts around Diversity & Inclusion, specifically for driving successful career development for women in key leadership positions. Jorge’s international experience coupled with his strong and diverse resume; holding prior leadership roles in the consumer, retail and medical device spaces; are a tremendous asset to Cynosure’s international future.

    Jorge earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Miami. As a global citizen, Jorge has lived in 17 cities around the world. In his free time, he enjoys traveling to ski, scuba diving, following soccer and learning from diverse cultures.

    Renika is a global senior financial executive with over 16 years of experience in various industries, including Healthcare, Infrastructure, and Telecom. She has focused on leading businesses and finance teams through strategic transformations. Her career reflects a demonstrated track record as an operational finance leader focused on capital allocation, business productivity, and strategic M&A opportunities. In addition, she has continuously modernized the finance function by automating processes, implementing global solutions, and leading development programs across early-career finance talent.

    Prior to joining Cynosure, Renika was Senior Vice President and CFO of the $5 billion U.S. Tower division of American Tower. Renika was responsible for providing leadership across all aspects of finance within U.S. tower, including commercial and M&A finance support, controllership, finance support services, and supply chain.

    Before joining American Tower, Renika spent 15 years with General Electric. She held several senior finance roles within the $19 billion GE Healthcare business and is a graduate of the GE Finance Management Program and Corporate Audit Staff. Most recently, Renika was CFO for GE Healthcare’s Global Services, helping to improve revenue growth and margin accretion for the $5 billion division that operates in more than 200 countries.

    Renika has a Bachelor of Science from Babson College. She resides in Massachusetts with her husband and two daughters.

    Executive Vice President of Research & Product Development

    Sujat Sukthankar, is a veteran of the medical device industry with a career that includes R&D and GM leadership roles in prominent MedTech companies such as Boston Scientific and Becton Dickinson. Before joining Cynosure, he served as the head of Platform Engineering for the $1.7Bln Catheter Care Medication Delivery platform within Becton Dickinson. Prior to that, he served as the VP, R&D at Boston Scientific – Urology & Pelvic Health (UroPH) where he was a member of the UroPH Management Board and the Boston Scientific Technical Executive Committee.  Sujat has also held leadership roles at Endo Health Solutions (formerly Endo Pharmaceuticals, Best Medical International and Rosses Medical Systems. He is the author or co-author of several publications in peer reviewed journals and holds multiple patents. Sujat graduated with a M.S. & Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Univ. of Akron, Ohio, and an MBA from Georgetown Univ. McDonough School of Business in Washington DC.  He resides in Shrewsbury MA with his wife and two children and is an avid musician playing Indian percussion (the “Tabla”) in his spare time.

    Kellie Teal-Guess joined Cynosure in February, 2021 as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Kellie brings over 30 years of experience working in high tech, fast growing, companies and has a strong background in HR Strategy, M&A Integration, Talent Management, Organizational Design, Change Management and HR automation.  In the role of Chief Human Resources Officer, Kellie will lead Cynosure’s human resources function, helping to further drive workplace innovation and employee satisfaction.
    Kellie most recently served as the EVP, Chief People Officer at CyrusOne, a global data center company with over 50 locations around the world.  There, she led all aspects of Human Resources, Security and internal Real Estate for this public, fast growing company.  Prior to CyrusOne, Kellie was with ProQuest LLC, an information technology company where she was Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources.  Before ProQuest, Kellie was with Dell Corporation where she was the Executive Director, Human Resources, supporting more than 18,000 employees in its global Services Delivery group.
    Kellie is a lifelong Texan, who holds MBA, MPA, and BA degrees from the University of Texas System.  Her passions are giving back to the community, travel and time with friends and family.

    Sean Trainor

    Chief Supply Chain Officer

    Sean brings more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain management, and product development. Prior to joining Cynosure, Sean served as the Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Distribution for Visionworks. In his role, Sean oversaw all manufacturing and order fulfillment activities.
    Before joining Visionworks, Sean served as Senior Vice President of Global Operations Engineering and Quality at Dell. He was responsible for new product introduction, supplier and factory quality, and operations engineering for all of Dell’s products across the worldwide supply chain. Sean’s teams formed the linchpin between product research and development and supply chain operations to enable flawless product and solution delivery. During his time at Dell, Sean served as Executive Director of many transformative teams. In 2008-2011, while living in Singapore, Sean led Global Supply Chain and Fulfillment, and his teams drove the end-to-end transformation of Dell’s global supply chain and fulfillment model aimed at providing the lowest cost and best value of products for customers.
    Sean earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from GMI Engineering and Management Institute and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Louisiana State University.  He serves as an advisor to the University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business. As a leader in the optical industry, Sean has earned his American Board of Opticianry Optician’s License.
    Sean lives in San Antonio, Texas, with his wife Karen and two children. As a hobby, Sean enjoys endurance cycling, having completed the Dirty Kanza/Garmin Unbound 200 four times and the Leadville Trail 100 mountain bike race.
