    Chief Executive Officer

    Mr. Tomer has more than two decades of experience in leadership roles within the medical technology sector, running global franchises at Johnson & Johnson focused on a range of therapeutic areas including diabetes care, spine, cardiology, endovascular, orthopedics, and electrophysiology, both in the US and Europe. Mr. Tomer was most recently the Global President of Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes Spine franchise. Mr. Tomer serves on the board of directors at Augmedics, Agada Medical, and Vascular Graft Solutions. He is a graduate of the Advanced Management program at Harvard Business School, holds a B.S. in medicine from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and an M.B.A. in finance and new ventures from Bar IIan University.

    Bob Howe

    Chief Financial Officer

    Bob Howe joined Cynosure in June 2023 as Chief Financial Officer. Bob has over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry in public and private equity-backed companies. Prior to joining Cynosure, Bob was most recently the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Conformis, Inc., a publicly traded company in the orthopedic joint replacement market, where he led the Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technologies organizations. Before that, Bob spent five years at NxStage Medical, Inc., as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller, where he was responsible for corporate financial planning & analysis, financial reporting and controls, shared services, treasury, and tax. Bob also held senior financial positions at Lake Region Medical, a medical device contract manufacturer. He began his career in the medical device industry at Boston Scientific, where he spent 17 years and held financial leadership roles in three of the company’s operating divisions and senior roles in manufacturing and corporate finance. Bob earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson College and an MBA from Boston University. Outside of work, Bob enjoys spending time with his family, snowboarding, mountain biking, and fishing.

  • Jae Hoon Yoo, Chief Operations Officer

    Jae Hoon Yoo

    Chief Operations Officer

    Jaehoon Yoo has built his 29-year career in areas including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing in the Automotive industry. He began his career in Daewoo as an R&D Engineer and was soon dispatched to GM HQ in the USA for two years as a resident Engineer for Product development. He expanded his expertise by taking on significant roles at Delco Remy, which was spun out from GM, where he served as a Plant manager and CTO. Next, he garnered experience in the Lithium-ion Battery industry, working as a Vice President at Emer 1, a world-leading Lithium-ion Battery company, for five years. Through this experience, he was able to develop his Manufacturing career in multiple industries. In December 2018, Yoo joined Lutronic as Chief Manufacturing Officer responsible for Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Purchasing. He was recently promoted to the President of Lutronic Corporation and Chief Operating Officer of the enterprise group while maintaining his performance in Production and Quality.

    Chief Human Resources Officer

    DenaRae joined Cynosure in April 2021 and has twenty years of HR experience in health and life science-focused organizations. Her broad HR experience includes supporting organizations as a human resources business partner, organizational development business partner, talent management, and learning and development leader. She spent the last eight years in pharmaceutical/medical device organizations, where she partnered across the business to build vibrant, learning-focused culture, talent, engagement, and inclusion programs. DenaRae holds a Bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Illinois Springfield, a Master’s in Organizational Communications from Saint Louis University, and is a Wharton Fellow of Talent Management. DenaRae lives outside Boston, Massachusetts, with her husband Jake, five sons, two cats, and one large dog.

    Min Shin

    SVP of R&D

    Min Shin joined Lutronic in May 2015, and prior to the Cynosure-Lutronic merger, he served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Lutronic. Min Shin is a trailblazer in the semiconductor and aesthetic technology field. He has achieved significant milestones, including developing the world’s highest-quality blue semiconductor laser diode wafer at Samsung. This pioneering work marked a first for Korea, establishing him as a key figure in semiconductor technology. With a portfolio of over 150 patents, his contributions have significantly advanced the field of semiconductor Laser Diodes. Min began his higher education at Yonsei University in Korea, where he obtained a BS and an MS degree in Materials Science and engineering. Eager to expand his knowledge further, he then pursued another MS in Mechanical Engineering at Northeastern University, followed by a Ph.D. in Electronic Materials Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University. This diverse educational background provided him with a robust foundation in his field’s theoretical and practical aspects.

    Chief Legal Officer

    Sean Flanagan joined Cynosure in October 2018 and currently leads the company’s global legal organization. Prior to joining Cynosure, Sean acted as Corporate Counsel at NxStage Medical, Inc., a publicly traded company engaged in developing innovative technologies aimed at improving treatment options for dialysis patients. At NxStage, Sean served as a lead legal representative for NxStage’s renal care division and assisted with the $2 billion sale of NxStage to Fresenius Medical Care. Sean began his career as a Corporate Associate at Devine, Millimet & Branch, Professional Association in Manchester, NH specializing in corporate transactional work. Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and his Juris Doctor (cum laude) from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, where he was a member of the Suffolk University Law Review. Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, especially when they are vacationing in Maine.

    Lowinn joined Cynosure in January 2021 and most recently served as Global Head of the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute. Throughout his career, Lowinn has built a diverse portfolio of global leadership experiences across multiple business sectors and business functions, including General Management, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and R&D. At Johnson & Johnson, Lowinn held global commercial leadership roles in the Consumer and Medical Device sectors. In addition, he served as Asia Pacific Managing Director of Vision Care ASEAN, Vice President of Marketing APAC, and Founder of the J&J APAC Vision Care Business Model Innovation Center. Lowinn holds an MBA in International Business from St. Louis University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He enjoys life with his wife, Mindy, and together, they have three children and three grandchildren.

    Hauke Albert Harms has been with Lutronic since 2018 and is a veteran of the medical laser industry for over 26 years, with a career that includes GM, European, and global leadership roles in prominent laser companies such as Lumenis and Palomar. He previously served as the Executive Vice President of Global Operations at Lutronic. Hauke started his career in the German armed forces, finally serving as an officer in an airborne unit. Hauke is a graduate of the Advanced Management program at the European Business School, Frankfurt, after studying medicine at the University of Hamburg. When not traveling for the company, he lives in Hamburg, Germany. In his spare time, he is passionate about cooking, fishing, and playing chess. He has served in the reserve corps of the German Army for 32 years and is an active member of the German charity organization Last Wish Foundation.

    Yoon Dong (YD) Kim joined Lutronic in 2023 and has served as Vice President of Business Strategy and Development, recently supporting due diligence for the business combination between Cynosure and Lutronic. Prior to joining the EBD industry, he was Head of Corporate Strategy at Hanon Systems, a publicly traded company in the global auto parts industry, where he led strategy planning, cross-border M&A, PMI, and various cross-functional projects. YD started his career at Boston Consulting Group and advised M&A, PMI, and go-to-market strategy of multinational companies in the healthcare and industrial sectors. YD holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Seoul National University. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his wife and his daughter.

    VP, Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance

    Nirav joined Cynosure in 2023 and is a global executive leader in Quality and Regulatory with over 15 years of experience in Quality, Regulatory, and Clinical for drugs, medical devices (Complex Medical Devices including Software- SiMD, SaMD), and combination products. He is an experienced leader who loves to mentor and coach his team and develop a robust QA/RA function. Prior to joining Cynosure, Nirav was the Global Director and Head of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs for Quanta Dialysis Technologies. Nirav enjoys mentoring and teaching students in the Master’s Degree program in Regulatory Affairs as a part-time Professor at Northeastern University. In his spare time, Nirav likes to emcee cultural events and spend time watching and playing the sport of Cricket. He also enjoys spending time in nature and going on the occasional waterfall hike with his wife.
