Dr. Jeffrey Dell

Dr. Dell is among the first Board Certified Urogynecologists in the United States. Dr. Dell, medical director of the Institute for Female Pelvic Medicine, received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and did internship and residency training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Dr. Dell is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons and is a member of several other professional societies. His scholarly publications appear in Urology, The Journal of Pelvic Surgery, Journal of Urology and the International Urogynecology Journal. In addition to extensive clinical research experience in interstitial cystitis, Dr. Dell currently is researching the development of biomaterials for treating female incontinence and pelvic floor defects. He participates in clinical research trials and regularly serves as organizer, invited lecturer and visiting professor at local, national and international events. Dr. Dell has lectured at international symposia in Paris, Copenhagen, Halifax, Toronto and New York City.

Dr. Mickey Karram

Dr. Karram is an internationally-renowned urogynecologist and pelvic surgeon. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and completed his fellowship training in urogynecology and reconstructive surgery at Harbor UCLA School of Medicine. He is currently the Director of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Surgery at The Christ Hospital; medical director of The Christ Hospital Pelvic Floor Center and Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine.

Dr. Peter Weiss

Dr. Peter Weiss graduated with honors in Gynecology from the University of Michigan school of Medicine. He has become a nationally known figure in women's health, speaking in numerous lectures to both physicians and laymen alike. His topics of expertise have included hormone replacement therapies, stem cell treatments, advanced treatments for uterine fibroids and high risk pregnancies to name just a few. Dr. Weiss has been seen and heard on many national television and radio talk shows. He has also been quoted in many magazine publications. As an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Weiss has been involved with teaching medical students and resident physicians. An attending physician at Cedars Sinai Medical center for the past 20 years has afforded Dr. Weiss a unique perspective on the changes involving health care today. He has been counsel to many legislative thought leaders on both sides of the isle in advancing women's health care issues. He has also co-authored several recent papers on bioterrorism and health care. Dr. Weiss is the recipient of many prestigious awards in health care. He is also the co-founder of The Rodeo Drive Women's Health Center.

Dr. Maria Sophocles

As a resident at Johns Hopkins/GBMC, Dr. Sophocles learned the importance of empathy. "A patient's trust begins when she senses you care," she says. Throughout her over 20 years as a board certified Ob/Gyn, she has also upheld the Hopkins standards of clinical excellence and innovation. Always thinking outside the box, she promoted early development of umbilical cord blood banks, and researched non-invasive ways to detect abnormal fetal chromosomes. Now, she focuses on advancing non-invasive gynecological procedures to treat vaginal dryness and uterine bleeding. "If I can improve the health and the quality of life in my patients without the use of medications or surgery, then I have helped them with less risk."
