Cynosure has assembled some of the industry's most experienced professionals to form our core management team.

Michael R. Davin
President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman

Michael Davin has been our president and chief executive officer and a director since September 2003. Davin became the chairman of our board of directors in October 2004. He has more than 20 years of experience in the light-based technology field. From 1998 to 2003, Davin served as cofounder and vice president of worldwide sales and strategic development at Cutera, Inc., a provider of laser and other light-based aesthetic treatment systems. Prior to cofounding Cutera, Davin spent 11 years at Coherent Medical, Inc.-a manufacturer of laser, optics and related equipment-in sales, marketing and clinical development senior management positions.

Timothy W. Baker
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Timothy Baker has been our executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer since March 2004. From July 2003 to February 2004, Baker served as vice president, finance at Stryker Biotech, a division of Stryker Corporation-a medical products and services provider. From July 2000 to June 2003, Baker served as president and chief financial officer at Photoelectron Corp., a provider of miniature x-ray systems for radiation therapy. From January 1996 to July 2000, he served as chief financial officer and vice president of operations at Radionics, Inc., a provider of surgical devices. Baker is a certified public accountant and holds an M.B.A. in operations management.

Douglas J. Delaney
Executive Vice President, Sales

Douglas Delaney has been our executive vice president, sales since February 2005 and has worked in medical laser sales for more than ten years. From May 2004 through February 2005, Delaney was our vice president, North American sales, and from September 2003 through May 2004, he was our director of North American sales. From September 1999 to September 2003, he served as national sales manager at Cutera, Inc.

David Mackie
Vice President, Operations

David Mackie has been our vice president, operations since April 2004. From January 2000 to October 2003, Mackie served as senior director of operations at Alcatel-an international telecommunications company-with responsibility for Alcatel's Chelmsford, Massachusetts operations organization.

Kenji Shimizu
Executive Vice President, International

Kenji Shimizu has been our senior vice president, international sales since April 1999. During the 20 years prior to joining Cynosure, Shimizu held senior international sales positions at several laser companies.

Rafael Sierra
Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Rafael Sierra has been our chief technology officer since May 1997. Sierra has been involved in the laser and fiber optics industries for over 25 years. From 1991 to 1995, he served as director of laser technology at Candela Corporation, a provider of laser and other light-based aesthetic treatment systems. Sierra has been awarded seven patents related to medical devices and methods.

John Lenihan
Vice President, International Distribution

John Lenihan has been our vice president of international distribution since September 2007. From 2001 to August, 2007, Lenihan served as director, international distribution at Cutera, Inc. From 1998 to 2001, he was director of international sales and marketing for Diomed Ltd., a medical laser manufacturer. From 1986 to 1998 he held senior management positions in marketing, sales and oversaw direct distribution offices in Germany, France and Scandinavia as general manager at Coherent Medical.
